What Are The Benefits Of Moisturising?
To moisturise or not to moisturise, that is the question. And there is no doubt about the answer. Yes, do moisturise your skin, and do moisturise your skin daily, even twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Your skin will thank you for it.
There are too many people going around with very dry skin and surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, these people are made up of both men and women equally. Yes, men have skin too which needs to be looked after. Women are more inclined to take care of themselves, they are more worried about how they look, and their appearance matters hugely to them.
The other day, at a fair here in the midlands of Ireland, I had a man come to my stand with his knuckles in a bad way. They were chapped, red, sore, and extremely dry. I got him to try some of the hand creams that we make and he instantly felt the benefits. I think his knuckles were so dry that the cream went right in there and was absorbed immediately. He went off with a tin of beeswax and calendula hand cream. I recommended the lavender but he wanted something more manly and went for the cedarwood & bergamot. The cocoa butter, coconut oil, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil, beeswax, and our homemade calendula oil will have his knuckles back in good shape and in no time at all.
It's on the face, where women exceed men in terms of looking after and worrying about their skin. But men would also profit from rubbing on some face cream especially at night an hour before going to bed. A good massage to the face daily at least once a day with a night face cream can make the skin glow after three weeks.
5 Benefits of Daily Moisturising
- It will bring moisture back to that dry skin and help keep moisture in the skin and not let it escape. Thus reducing risk of chapping or redness
- Skin will feel plumper and will glow more
- Less chance of forming wrinkles
- Keeps skin looking young and healthy
- Reduces blemishes on the skin
To conclude, whether you're a man or a woman, teenager or an older person, keep your skin all over your body moisturised. Do this once or twice a day. And of course, as I always say, eat well, drink plenty of water, reduce alcohol, and don't smoke. In short, be a good clean living person - well maybe also have fun!!!
