The Importance of Smiling
The Importance of Smiling
You might think that smiling a lot causes wrinkles and therefore should be avoided at all costs. Well how wrong you are!!!
- For one thing, smiling releases endorphins and these are responsible for making you feel good. And that's not all!!!
- It can help lower blood pressure and that's always a good thing, right?
- It helps boost the immune system. People who laugh and smile a lot usually have great powers to ward off illnesses as they, by smiling and laughing, have increased anti bodies and immune cells.
- Smiling reduces the amount of stress felt in the body. Chronic stress is responsible for triggering many illness
- And last but not least, smiling is not as bad as frowning for creating wrinkles on your face. In fact it is known to cause less wrinkles than frowning does. And apparently, a smiling you looks younger than a frowning you!! So next time you feel a frown coming on turn it into a smile. Your body will thank you in many ways
In general, I believe, a positive attitude and outlook on life, an ability to not take yourself too seriously, a staving off of negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones, a smile or even a laugh keeps you young, healthy and happy
