Stinging Nettles in our Shampoo Bars
Nettles abound in our garden especially at this time of the year. I have already started picking them for the next batches of soap. I'll have to let them dry for a few days in a shady dry place, then with gloves on, I'll crumple up the nettle and put it in a jar along with a litre of olive oil. This can be left outside in the sun for a couple of days or put in a bain-marie to help extract the properties it contains. When I make my next batch of soap, I'll put a third of the jar into it including the nettles themselves. It gives a nice greenish look to the shampoo and it's great for the scalp and for hair growth.
