Relaxing your Eyes
It's not so easy to relax the eyes but, nonetheless, relaxing the eyes is most beneficial in this modern day with artificial light all around us and screens screaming at us it is difficult to do so.

Causes of Eye Strain or Stress
- There are many factors that contribute to our bad eye health:-
- Overuse of the eyes for reading, driving and staring into our mobile phones
- Watching excessive amounts of Telly
- Spending many hours under artificial light
Ways to Relax the Eyes and Combat Eye Strain
These following tips are things that I, as a non-expert on eyes, know. If you have serious eye condition please consult your doctor
- If on your mobile device or screen, try blinking at regular intervals. Look away from time time and focus on something that's is at least 29 feet away. Take breaks too and leave the area where the offending object is
- Try getting out more outside to the natural light and be less dependent on electrical or artificial lighting
- Keep telly watching to a mininum or, at least, take a break every so often and leave the room
- Be in nature and look at the trees, the mountains, the river, the bog, the sky and more sky. Looking at the sky is very good for your general mental health and wellbeing and will also do your eyes a favour
- Get someone to rub lavender onto their clean hands and place these over your eyes for 30 seconds or so at a time. Do this three times and regularily in the day. If you can't find anyone, rub the lavender onto the back or palms of your hands and do it yourself.
- Get a warm cloth put a few drops of lavender in it and place over you eyes for a minute or so
