Nettles in our shampoo bars
I've been keeping on eye on the nettles around the house and today I deem it the day for picking them. I'll then dry them in the shady sun (plenty of it around these days, lucky for us) for a few days. Then with gloves on, I'll crumple them up and put into a jar along with olive oil and leave either in direct sun (we'll be even luckier if the sun lasts that long) for a day or heat over a bain marie for an hour. This oil gets stored away for a couple of months and when I'm making a batch of Lavender or Rosemary Soap I'll throw in half the jar in each as part of my olive oil allowance for that soap.
