There are lots of expressions that use the word "skin" in them like, "to get under one's skin". So when someone gets under your skin, it means that they really bother you and annoy you. Other expressions include:-

So if something or someone is skin deep, it means that they are very shallow and/or fickle

If something, like a movie, makes your skin crawl then it terrifies you or disgusts you (depending on the movie)
SKINFLINT
You're not the most generous person in the world if you're called this. You're miserly and would take the shirt off anyone's back just to make a profit
A GOOD SKIN
On the other hand, if you're called this, you can hold your head up high. You're a good lad or lassy
BY THE SKIN OF ONE'S TEETH
It means a narrow escape. Example - She just passed her exams by the skin of her teeth. She barely scraped up a pass.
THICK SKIN
To have thick skin, means that nothing fazes you or makes you angry or upset
TO LEAP OUT OF ONE'S SKIN
This means that you get a sudden surprise or fright.
