Healing Heels
Healing Heels
Heels put up with a lot of abuse from their owners; from being left inside a shoe or boot all day and not being allowed to breathe to having to withstand constant pressure due to standing or walking. Some of us get very chapped heels as a result of these crimes. What we should really be doing is going around with no shoes on inside the house and from time to time sitting down and taking that poor little foot in our hands and giving the heel, not to mention the whole foot, a massage.
HEALING HEEL RECIPE
Here's a recipe to accompany that above mentioned massage
10g Lanolin
20g Beeswax
20g Avocado butter (or avocado oil)
50g Shea Butter
Melt all of these (except lanolin and avocado oil, if using) to blend together.
Rub daily into the heals. Best done at night time before bed. Put on socks and let the healing begin while you sleep or keep the feet up for an hour or two!
We do have a body balm that will also be great for those tired old feet and chapped heals. It contains the following :-
COCOA BUTTER
COCONUT OIL
SHEA BUTTER
SWEET ALMOND OIL
APRICOT KERNEL OIL
BEESWAX
CALENDULA OIL (HOMEMADE BY MYSELF AND GREAT FOR HEALING)
