Hot Oil Treatment for Hair Growth
Is your healthy hair falling out and getting on the thin side? Do you need a treatment to help make your hair grow back? This recipe below will not only help with hair growth but it will also nourish and condition the hair and scalp at the same time. Applying hot oil to the scalp will stimulate the blood flow to the scalp, ensuring healthy hair and growth. Although in the recipe below I have used geranium and palmarosa, you can substitute these essential oils with lavender and cedarwood
Recipe for Hot Oil Treatment
- 10ml Jojoba Oil
- 40 drops Evening Primrose Oil
- 10 drops Geranium Essential Oil
- 10 drops Palmarosa Essential Oil
Directions for Applying Hot Oil in Hair
- After mixing all ingredients together use about a fifth of what you've made. The rest store in a dark glass jar or bottle
- Warm the oils slightly to about 37 degrees centigrade.
- Apply to hair with the aid of your finger tips and massage the scalp gently
- Wrap a towel around and leave for 20 mins or so
- Wash, rinse and dry as usual.
Applying this at least once a week or even twice a week might show results in a number of weeks. You can, if you like, leave out the essential oils if you are particularly sensitive. Try also these essential oils to substitute all of the above
- Thyme essential oil
- Rosemary essential oil
- Clary Sage essential oil
- Ylang Ylang essential oil
